The VGW-mini is documented as a dedicated vacuum gauge with App recording and export features. Elitech’s product page lists segmented accuracy and resolution, plus a 1/4 SAE interface. That supports a vacuum-measurement role, but does not verify the contents of a particular UK kit, its mating fittings or our own accuracy results.

What can it not prove?
A micron reading does not by itself locate a leak, identify moisture or prove evacuation of every volume in a system. Elitech advertises a water-state judgement based on ambient temperature and a water saturation relationship. That is a calculated indication, not a direct measurement of water content.
The stated 27.5-bar overload figure is not presented here as a working-pressure authorisation. Confirm the exact manual before any exposure outside the intended vacuum application. We have not performed a pressure, accuracy, battery-life or field test.
Connection and kit requirements
The manufacturer’s page presents several kit options. The chosen kit SKU and current contents need confirmation before specifying hoses, three-way valves or elbow adapters. The connection register records the published size, while leaving undocumented gender, seal and adapter identity as unknown. Customer comments about missing connectors are user reports, not our inspection.
Wireless and App evidence
The product page advertises smartphone/tablet control, online/offline recording, an evacuation-target notification and PDF/Excel report export. We have not verified the App build, minimum Android/iOS version, firmware, pairing range, export structure or compatibility with third-party Apps. Before relying on a report, check timestamps, units, recording interval and behaviour when the phone disconnects.
Record the installed App name and version from the actual device; a generic “Elitech App” label is insufficient to establish a reproducible software combination.
Checks and maintenance
Use the exact current manual for sensor cleaning, charging and functional checks. Retain the serial number, firmware, reference comparison and contamination history. Our source check confirms what the product page says, not the instrument’s actual calibration status.
